I study Computer Science at The Chinese University of Hong Kong and graduate in 2027. Most of my work is quant research infrastructure: data platforms researchers can trust, and research tools where AI can propose and critique but never decides what counts as a result. I am looking for quant developer, quant research, trading, software engineering, full-stack and AI engineering roles, and I am interested in quantum computing software: I wrote the GPU backend for an open-source quantum simulator.
Education
The Chinese University of Hong Kong
B.Sc. in Computer Science; Minors in Data Analytics and Informatics, and Business
Final-year project (Prof. XU Hong): co-developed Bayesian scoring and conformal risk control for a 4B LLM; reduced tasks with rule violations by about 80% versus a prompted agent on a held-out synthetic tool-use testbed.
Relevant courses: Compiler Construction (A), Operating Systems, Algorithms, Data Structures, Computer Organization, Software Engineering, Formal Languages & Automata, Programming Languages, Probability, Statistics, Linear Algebra. Currently: Quantitative Methods for Financial Derivatives; Quantum Computer Systems (postgraduate).
Experience
Lead Developer, Quant Research Team, CUHK Quant Trading Society, Hong Kong
- As the team’s sole developer, architected its market-data platform: 700B+ stored A-share and crypto rows in the 2026-10-05 snapshot, not a unique-row count. The platform also supports Polymarket, outside that sum.
- Built its Python/HTTP/SQL query service with version-pinned reads and point-in-time checks. A separate 420,000-row concurrency fixture kept all 23 of 23 commits with 12 readers and 5 writers.
- Led implementation of the team’s data-quality work: duplicate cleanup and checks that prevent look-ahead leakage into research data.
- Built access controls in C, monitoring, alerts and operator documentation for shared research infrastructure.
- Built a Go HTTP/WebSocket relay with request validation, TLS termination and address scrubbing.
- Built guarded AI coding agents with recoverable deletion and approvals; tested the guard against independently identified bypass cases.
BRAIN Research Consultant (Gold level), WorldQuant, remote, part-time
- Researched and submitted 11 equity alphas in July 2025; the 5 October 2026 snapshot records a best individual out-of-sample Sharpe of 2.18 in BRAIN simulation.
- Built Python tooling that manages simulation runs (concurrency limits, checkpoint/resume).
STEAM Programming Tutor, Christian Alliance S. C. Chan Memorial College, part-time
- Taught programming and STEAM projects to 50+ students, designed curriculum materials and hands-on coding activities, and mentored student teams that won two programming awards.
- Also Head of Discipline & Tutor at Advanced Learning Centre (2023–).
Awards
- IMC Prosperity 4 (Team SHDC), 2026: 904th globally, 18th in Hong Kong.
- Hong Kong Universities Web3 Quant Trading Hackathon, 2025: initiated the project; lead architect.
- MonsoonSIM Enterprise Resource Management Competition, 2025: 3rd place.
- Microsoft Master Code Competition and Teens Can Code Championship, 2019: champion (both).
